Nothing like a cold one when you get home after work on a Monday. It doesn’t have to be the fanciest or most obscure beer, you just gotta have one. Tonight’s was Red Stripe. It may be a mediocre beer with a moderate bitterness but sometimes that’s all you want when contemplating how mediocre and bitter your life is on a Monday. It’s the idea of the Jamaican lifestyle that invites you to get away from yours. Plus, the oddly shaped bottle just makes you curious and encourages you to pound these bad boys questioning if they really are 12 oz. each. So stock up the fridge and when work or traffic is Jamaican-you crazy, “Don’t worry, be happy,” your redemption song is in a form of a bottle just waiting to ease that mind to a Caribbean vacation.
