Brooklyn Brewery: Brooklyn Pilsner

After a long day of touristy walking in New York and seeing Passenger 57 himself on the street, I needed a cold one. We waited forty more minutes outside Grimaldi’s in Brooklyn for pizza. This place was packed and all the people in line where hyping it up. It turned out to be amazing pizza. I was also happy to see that they were serving Brooklyn Pilsner so I gave it a try. This light golden beer is crisp and has a slight bitterness from the hops but a subtle sweetness of a floral aroma that makes you think more of a Belgian pilsner like a weaker variation of a Stella Artois. It’s like Danny DeVito to Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie Twins. The only issue I had is that they served it almost room temperature. It’s as if the waiter got it out of the pack, stuffed it in the freezer while he took a piss and served it to me two minutes later. I should’ve called my buddy Wesley Snipes to tell him to go Blade on these fools.
